I woke up before 7am and thought why not run? I took my time stretching and getting out of bed. I got dressed and checked the temperature. (8 C) Cool morning. The sun was shining bright and I left while hubby and Bubby were still sleeping.
First thing as I walked down the driveway was hearing the airplane flying. I looked up and there was a rainbow too.
I couldn't even see the viewfinder, but knew it was there so I just snapped the picture. Off we went.
I decided that since I would have around an hour of time before anyone even woke up I thought I would use it wisely. I set off to run around the one whole section and come back which would make 5 miles. I had the tunes going in one ear, and the dog was bounding up and down the ditches. There was no traffic. The beauty and sounds of nature were abundant.
I love the wild tiger lilies. It entices me every year to stop and look at them. I ran. I did stop briefly to take a picture of the tiger lilies. But, who could resist those bright orange stars. I ran. I thought about turning back and making it only 4 miles. I didn't. I counted down at the 1 1/2 mile mark, then it was 1 mile left to go and then it was the 1/2 mile home stretch. The last mile was the hardest. My knees start to hurt. I just reminded myself that this was a lot to accomplish before 8am.
So, 5 miles it is. Grand total is 243.3 miles. I got over 250 miles to go until the end of September. Yikes. I remind myself that I can do it. Only roadblock is myself. Have a great day!
Love your picture of the rainbow....you need to send it to me so I can scrap it. So just been catching up with your progress. All I can say is Impressive. Talk soon. love you.
